Overview
After meeting with the guide, an introduction to the traditional market will be made. While the original building of Mercado do Bolhão is undergoing refurbishment, the visit will be made to the temporary market a few meters away. Time to enjoy the typical atmosphere of the market, and to buy some ingredients for making the meal.We will take a short drive (about 15 minutes) to our home where we will go in a 100% local environment to learn the secrets of Portuguese cuisine.Time to learn how to make the dishes described in our activity, where you can actively participate, or simply enjoy the moment, food and company.After the experience is finished, participants will be taken to the point where the tour started or somewhere close to their choice.Sample Menu • Alheira Croquettes • Cod with cream • Cream Pastry

Catia is lovely and we enjoyed her cooking class. It is very laid back and non intimidating. We were in her home sharing cooking duties with a French couple who spoke very little English. But we were all positive about it. The food we cooked was very good!

My husband and I booked the cooking experience as an anniversary present and it didn't disappoint! We met Catia at the market and she showed us all the wonderful produce it has to offer, including some free samples ??
She the drove us to her beautiful home where we were able to prepare, cook and eat some amazing Portuguese food, which of course included Nata's. It was a highlight of our trip to Porto and thoroughly enjoyed every minute!

We had the best time during this experience! Catia is incredibly knowledgable, warm, and welcoming. Visiting the market was so fun and cooking together even more so. Could not recommend this experience more!

Catia was a great host and taught us so much about Portuguese culture. Her home was beautiful and the food was delicious.
