Traveler Reviews

We were travelling with our two kids so we just wanted a taster of a tour to kick start our short break. Chris did not disappoint. We saw plenty of the key sites which make up Germany’s rich and colourful history delivered with just the right amount of narrative. Chris was able to answer all of our questions and his knowledge of local areas was also excellent. Finishing off with a coffee by Checkpoint Charlie was a nice way to end the morning.

Chris took us on a friendly, informative and thoroughly captivating tour through the Berlin of today and through its history. He has a store of fascinating facts. A very personable, warm tour guide, Chris made sure we were introduced to Berlin with a tour that was easy to walk and which accommodated everyone’s needs and we found the pace was just right). Chris is easy to understand - even with his kiwi accent! He can also speak Deutsch which is very useful. He’s a good listener as well as a good conveyer of this colourful city of Berlin’s many facets. We loved our tour! Thanks Chris!

Chris was able to pack in a surprising number of sights in the few hours we had with him and he had a ton of really interesting info about all of them! Additionally, he gave us great ideas for what to do/see during our remaining time in Berlin - including the lesser known (less "touristy") local sights and activities that proved to be wonderful.

Chris was great. My friend and I arrived in Berlin in June this year, a bit lost, with very little guidance about where to go and what to do. Chris did a wonderful job guiding us around the main historical attractions, creating a familiarity similar to that you have with friends you haven’t seen in years, and yet maintaining the necessary professionalism. His tour was well planned out, and adapted for the hot weather. We finished with a chat over coffee, where he was nice enough to take the time to mark on our map the coolest places in town, from music to art to food. I really, genuinely recommend him.

This was an easy and enjoyable experience from start to finish. Chris' instructions prior to the tour were clear and stress-free. This is the type of tour that I recommend the morning after you arrive: ease into the city, learn some history, get your bearings, and enjoy the company of a friend. It is a relatively short tour, and relaxing-- not one of those tours where you need to show up hydrated, wearing your best Nikes, ready to power walk, and following a guide who is holding up a stick so that you don't lose sight of him/her in the crowd. This is not that tour. You quickly forget you are with a tour guide, it feels more like meeting up with an old friend and taking a walk through his city. Chris was very kind and informative, there are many purposely subtle historical features in the city that I would have strolled right past without a second glance without Chris. He is knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my history questions. I loved the added touch of grabbing espresso
