2 friends and I booked with Charles, Art Ventures, for a 3 hour art experience at the Flower Forest. On arrival we met Charles and then were given a brief introduction to the gardens and took a self guided tour to get to the lovely gazebo in the grounds. Our painting class was great fun. Charles made us all feel very relaxed, 2 of us had never painted before and one had completed 6 lessons some years ago so we were total beginners really, so he started at the beginning! Charles provided everything we needed, from easels, paint, brushes, canvas etc, to aprons to protect our clothes. He also provided drinking water, which was appreciated. He gave good explanations, joined in with our laughter, encouraged and advised. We came away with our individual pieces of art, delighted to have been able to produce something that was far from embarassing! Highly recommend.

Charles was a knowledgeable patient and enthusiastic host and we enjoyed our interactions with him among the beautiful landscape gardens. It was refreshing to spend a Saturday among nature painting the natural flora of the Flower forest. An event not to be missed.

I had a wonderful experience at the Flower Forest tour and painting workshop. First of all, the Flower Forest is a must see if you love nature and serenity. After taking the self-guided, self-paced walking tour, I met with Charles, a local artist, under a lovely white tent. Everything was supplied - easel, canvas, paints, brushes, and more. Charles guided me through a project, making suggestions but also allowing me to explore my creativity. I love my finished product. I Highly recommend this tour!!!
