Awesome trip all around. If you want to experience Etna, this is the tour to book. Funny and experienced guides explained everything in detail from the basics of vulcanos to the specialities of Etna. In terms of difficulty "moderate" describes the hike perfectly, I'm personally not a hiker and I went into this trip with some minor muscle pain and still managed to get to the top. Every 20 to 30 minutes we stopped to catch our breath while the guide informed us about the different craters and recent eruptions that had taken place around us. How you experience this trip will heavily depend on weather conditions, we were lucky and had a sunny clear sky with breathtaking views of all the areas around Etna. Last but not least you need to know that the meeting point at the cable car is a huge tourist trap with overpriced souvenir shops and Restaurants that are overflowing with bus loads of tourists from cruise ships. And as such other Tour operators will offer tours on Etna that are not worth

Both me and my husband enjoyed the experience very much. We were worried we did not have the right equipment but Ashara had everything we needed available. The guide was fun and pasionate. We learned many things about volcanoes and made us even more curious. The views were breathtaking and unique. A cool thing is that we really felt safe with our guide, he’s such a good leader!

We had a great experience with Mary coordinating our tour and Marco leading our group through the sights. Very patient, helpful, and tolerant of a couple old timers. We truly enjoyed the day and were exhausted but felt rewarded for having made the effort.
