Traveler Reviews

EUGENE IS AMAZING!!!! We traveled to Costa Rica with three families primarily for teenage boys to surf. Our property manager recommended Xplore and we are thrilled she did. Eugene is clearly an expert but more importantly he has such love and respect for his beautiful country. It is isn't easy to hold the attention of teenagers and yet young and old alike crowded around Eugene as he taught us about the river, monkeys, birds and reptiles. We loved him so much we added a second day zip lining and rafting. He's a national treasure and should be a part of any trip to CR. We will definitely plan an Xplore tour with him when we go back.

Don was a great guide and the traditional C.R. lunch we enjoyed was the best food we had our during our three week visit to this beautiful country!

Our guide, Eugene was PHENOMENAL. He had a vast knowledge of the park and the areas en route to the park. We saw tons of crocodiles, capuchin monkeys, birds. and howler monkeys in their natural habitats. A truly incredible experience! 5 stars to Xplore Costa Rica Tours & to Eugene.

Our guide Eugene was fun, found us lots of birds and crocodiles, and knew his wildlife really well. The business owner Denise was a great communicator in setting up the trip. Our family, including an 11 and a 13-year-old, all enjoyed ourselves. The boat was comfortable and the driver was great at maneuvering in close to see wildlife. The lunch was good and the ceramics demo, while probably not of keen interest to everyone, was well done and seemed sincere. Two thumbs up! ????????

Very nice boat excursion out of Tamarindo. Boat captain and guide had super powers spotting wildlife. You get a very nice lunch at Rancho de Coyotes with demo of traditional pottery making. 90 minute drive from Tamarindo shows a lot of the bucolic countryside.
