We booked this Viator tour, before leaving home. Our original booking was cancelled due to lack of a guide and then rebooked for two days later. We met our guide Samuel on Quai des Etats-Unis and he immediately started us on samples of sweet pastries as he told us of the history of the area. Then we walked back and forth along the Cour Saleya Market sampling foods all the way. There were visits to a chocolate shop, wine shop and olive oil shop. We finished up with Gelato. Our 4 hour tour lasted 5 hours and we were all fully satisfied.

Ally, the guide, was a consummate professional- well-prepared, full of fascinating information about the history and cuisine of Nice, and lots of fun. The tour was well-paced and her connection with local vendors who sold the best foods and wines provided a wonderful introduction to organic, locally sourced treasures. I've taken several food tours and this was far superior to any others. Highly recommended,

Our tour was delayed 2 days, due to lack of a guide, but was well worth the wait. Samuel met us as planned and gave a brief history of the area. He shared some sweets as we walked through the market. He stopped at various stalls an either provided samples or gathered foods for us to taste later. Included was a visit to a chocolate shop, wine store, pizza restaurant, socca restaurant and an olive oil shop. The whole experience lasted 5 hours and was a treat for the senses.

War eine sehr tolle Führung, super Guide. Das einzige was nicht so toll war, der Treffpunkt wird falsch angegeben. Kein Treffpunkt Place Massena sondern auf dem Markt. Ansonsten alles super!

Tour did not match the description. 3 hours instead for 4 hours
Only tasted one wine, no olive oil or pasta or homemade ice cream
Food tasting didn’t flow, started with candies at 9:30
Guide was friendly and informative
Washroom at coffee stop was disgusting
