Traveler Reviews

This was an amazing day. My heart has never been fuller because of the sea turtles, the community that protects them, and Tomas Vicente’s company. Every minute of this tour was great, from the minute Tomas picked us up until the night was over. It’s important to note that it says this is a bus tour and it’s Not. It’s a private tour. He has two clean, safe, comfortable vehicles-one for small groups and one for bigger groups. Tomas has so much knowledge to share- he is a native Zapotec who also speaks perfect English and Spanish. We learned so much from him, but more important, he has the best demeanor and personality, we felt like we were old friends right away. The local community protects the sea turtle eggs from poachers and as soon as they hatch, they need to be released into the ocean. It was such a blessing to set the tortugitas off into the ocean and to spend time with the people who center their lives around protecting them. I gave Tomas my phone to take pictures and videos s

People who actually put the Turtles above their business. It was awesome to see the baby turtles make it safely into the ocean. My daughter enjoyed playing hero and protecting them from birds.

Tomas was easily one of the best tour guides I've ever had. Incredibly knowledgeable, and super friendly he did everything to make the tour perfect. And the work being done at La Escobilla is so important, it's a great opportunity to support a wonderful cause. And of course the baby turtles are absolutely adorable!! I couldn't recommend it more!

We were picked up by Tomas and enjoyed a safe and air conditioning ride to all attractions. First stop was a chocolate factory run entirely by an extended family featuring all homemade chocolate products. Second stop was an iguana sanctuary where we saw many green and black iguanas in a natural habitat. And finally, the highlight of our trip - the baby turtle release on a pristine beach at sunset. The naturalist who accompanied us found two more nests and we were able to help release those baby turtles as well. Tomas is very knowledgeable and provided interesting commentary throughout the day. Would definitely recommend Tomas and this excursion!!

This was a great tour! Thomas was very knowledgeable and accommodating. The turtle release was the highlight and very hands on. Our teenagers loved it. Chocolate was delicious too. He also recommended a great taco place for dinner when he dropped us back in Crucecita. Best barbacoa tacos ever!
