Going up to the fortress and seeing the lights of Salzburg. The crowd was small; I think that reduced the energy in the concert room. need to weave the story of Mozart's life in Salzburg more into the music/music selections. I didn't come away with a greater understanding/appreciation of Mozart.

Music quality was OK and it was a rainy night so wasn't the best to go the castle due to weather .. Save the money and look for a free concert by Mozart University if rainy otherwise not a bad deal to get a feel for some music and ambiance and view the Fort. Wouldn't go just for the music though when Salzburg has other world class performances

Very good musicians but we excpected more Mozart. The title of the programme says ’the best of Mozart’ but it was just one short example of his famous music. Others were Shubert and Dvorak.

Get there an hour early to stroll around the fortress. Very nice overall. Expect to be there about 90 minutes.

Came there on a Salzburg visit. The concert room is wood paneled, intimate. The Orchester played the classic themed plays. There was some dynamic, and only a few tiny hiccups. The crowd was very mixed, mostly visitors to Salzburg it seemed, and a bit sleepy. The train going and coming back down was included in the price. Overall it is a great experience during a visit to Salzburg.
