This was an exceptional experience. An afternoon walking the campus of the University of Costa Rica with a wonderful guide Yen. She was fantastic and made this the tour it was. Not only did we get to see sloths, she spoke of all other plants, trees, animals, loved the ant trails. Also spoke of Costa Rican history and present day challenges. She is exceptional.
We had a fantastic time with Marcelo. Not only did we see all the animals expected (birds, sloths, even leaf-cutter ants), but Marcelo went out of his way to provide interesting explanations and equipment to make sure we got the most out of our experience (binoculars and telescope). We were delighted with our experience and definitely recommend it as one of the best things to do in San Jose!
A really good tour and unique, excellent professionals as well. The highlight of it it is that in comparison with other tours that you could take in Costa Rica this is the only one that shows and makes you go quite deep into an endangered and special ecosystem while learning at the same time, totally recommended for a one day trip experience!
Isaac, our tour guide, was a very friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. Unless I misheard, he studied Biology in university and this is one of his passions. It was amazing to see the ecological variety right under your nose in the middle of the city. We saw butterflies, birds, particular trees and the highlight of a sloth. I was skeptical that we would see a sloth in San Jose despite other reviewers, but we really saw one! They must have been in the campus area while the city built up around it. Anyway, Isaac brought his telescope and positioned it for all of us to get close looks at these sights. The great part about this tour was that I didn't feel rushed. We could really take a lot of pictures and time to speak with him and have our questions be answered. It isn't a fast tour. Gracias a Isaac y los otros del equipo.
Grandes profesionales. Muy atentos a mis preguntas. No solo saben mucho, sino también que tienen gran voluntad de enseñar. Recomendados para una buena experiencia sobre naturaleza.
