Traveler Reviews
Nice tour to visit the Synaguogue with a member of the Jewish community which make the tour way more relevant. We recommend if you plan to visit the monument.

This was a sub-par tour, at best. First and foremost, I signed up for an English tour and the guide spent a large portion of the tour answering questions and talking to another member of the tour in Spanish. I am fine if there are language barriers - but at least inform the rest of the group what has been discussed! Further, the guide seemed disengaged when telling us about the synagogue. After entering, we sat down and the guide lectured us in a very disengaging way for about 35 minutes. He seemed hesitant about many of the facts that were shared. Between locations, the guide was on his phone - not seeming to care how fast or slow we moved through the area. Overall, there were some great facts, but I think you could get a far better experience by going with one of the tours offered by the synagogue itself.

Our guide was also a member of the Synagogue and explained everything with pride and enthusiasm. Would definitely recommend this tour.

Learned a lot about the Synagogue from this tour. Didn’t really know anything about Judaism and someone recommended this to us. The tour guide inside was great and really informative. It is a must in Budapest and all our kids ranging from 8 to 13 found it interesting. Best to get there early in the day. We went there first thing and by the time we left it was busy. Make sure you cover up your skin in respect, so no shorts, t shirts...
