Cate picked me up at my hotel in Bayeux and drove us to to Mont Saint-Michel in her car. The day was magical - sunny and warm and she made the trip with her knowledge of the place and her sparkling personality.

My Wife and I had a great time seeing Mount Saint Michel with Kate as our guide for the day. I did not know much about the place except the spectacular views going into the trip, but Kate was able to inform us about the historical significance of this beautiful place in a way that was concise yet packed with detail. She was able to answer my questions about the site as well as the surrounding area and was a pleasure to be with for the tour. Pickup was timely, everything was sanitized, and bottled waters were provided which was a nice touch. If you are looking to do any tours in the Normandy, or Northwestern France area, I highly recommend using the Gold Beach Company! In addition, Kate had great reccomendations for local restaurants which was nice to know as we had never been to Bayeux before. Great town with nice people.

My family had the absolute BEST day at Mont St Michel. Our guide, Katell, picked us up and educated us on the rich history of the monastery during our 90min drive to the island. Once we arrived we enjoyed the mile and a half walk up to the island with gorgeous views of the monastery. Without Kate the monastery would have been a big mostly empty building, but thanks to her knowledge and photos I could envision exactly what life was like for those monks. She knew when and where the bells would ring by the current sisters and priests living there. Once we finished with the monastery the island was crowded & overwhelming for lunch but with our amazing guide she already had a plan B. Kate always anticipated our needs ie. bathroom breaks, shuttles vs walking, snack/lunch breaks and waterbottles.

Kate was absolutely amazing. She picked us up from our hotel in Bayeux and we had a lovely drive to Mont St Michel. She wore a headset so all 6 of us in the van could hear her commentary. It was a magical visit. She knew all the tricks and we ascended to the church quickly. When my 11 year old “booked” before lunch, she pulled out snacks from her pack to keep us going. She had a tremendous amount of knowledge and he book of pictures helped bring everything to life and created a complete understanding! She also found us a wonderful place for lunch. She was amazing.
