Traveler Reviews

Let me first start by letting you know that Salzburg Private Tours is open again for private tours. My family was the first tour since Jan 2020, due to Covid restrictions. Carlos was AMAZING, informative and great with our little kids (7 and 4)!!! The tour, which was 8 hours, was fun and informative for all ages. We were able to see places we have only read about in books or seen in movies. We were shown many of the filming locations for The Sound of Music on our way to the Eagle's Nest. Carlos was knowledgeable on the history and was able to paint a picture for us to easily imagine being there in 1939. He rounded out the rest of the tour with many locations spread throughout Germany and Austria utilized for the movie. Through his expertise, we were afforded time to enjoy the locations and were provided with information we wouldn't have even thought to ask questions about. Carlos also took into consideration the need for potty breaks for the kids and made sure they were never wanting.

Carlos was a terrific guide and we greatly appreciated his flexibility, inside knowledge, and willingness to go the distance to make our tour unforgettable. We last minute added in a visit to a Salt Mine and the Eagle's Nest area and it was a thrilling day. We highly recommend your tour company to anyone we know traveling to the area. Thank you again! All the best from Wilmington, Delaware, USA.
