Overview
Pick up your bike along the harbor, a short walk from the Opera and train station. Get a safety orientation to ensure you’re comfortable on your bike, and receive a bicycle helmet and bicycle lock. Once you’re ready, hop on your bike and hit the city! You have approximately eight hours to enjoy the sights on two wheels, all at your own pace.If you wish, you can head off to the Bygdøy Peninsula, the scenic, wooded peninsula that’s home to lovely beaches and three Oslo museums: the Viking Ship Museum, Polarship Fram Museum and Kon-Tiki Museum. Wend your way through the trees and along the shores and if you’ve brought your swimwear, pull up at a beach for a swim — Oslo’s waters are surprisingly warm in summer — and time on the sands. Otherwise, lock up your bike and visit the museums (own expense) for a fascinating insight into Oslo’s history.Alternatively, take a spin around Oslo city. Pedal along the cobbled streets of the Old Town (Gamlebyen) past brightly painted town houses, admire the sculptures in Vigeland Park, and swing by Oslo Opera House to check out its stunning contemporary marble-and-glass exterior. For something more rural, take off into the hills around Oslo to explore peaceful wooded trails, see beautiful waterfalls and absorb panoramic city views. When you need to refuel, you’ll find lots of quaint farmsteads where you can stop and boost your energies with traditional Norwegian food and drinks. After your bike explorations, simply drop your bike back at the rental shop before 5:30pm.

Traveler Reviews

We rented four bicycles during the summer of 2019 and had a wonderful day! My husband had scouted our landmarks and art installations all around Oslo, and we followed his tour for a good part of a day. It was wonderful! The shop was most helpful, and I would recommend them highly.

Josh not only showed us the sights but also helped us understand some of the subtleties of Norwegian culture. Overall awesome tour. He guides another route along the river that we may try next week!

Not everything is expensive in Norway - you can rent a bike for $20 a day! I rode it to Bygdoy and had a fun time exploring the inlet.

We rented bikes for a day and wished we had them a few more. The bikes were in great condition and we booked to Bydøga, a beautiful trip. They were helpful and got us (family of 8 4-17 yr kids) set up quickly. Definitely recommend renting bikes to explore oslo!
