A lovely day trip from Ierapetra harbour on board one of 3 large boats. Chrissi Island is a very beautiful place, with white sandy beaches and crystal clear aquamarine water. We wre also issued with a packed lunch for the day as there are no facilities at all on the Island. The lunch wa excellent; it consisted of a small Greek salad, a filled baguette, bottle of water, fruit and a choice of hot dish. These included stuffed vegetables, meatballs with rice, souvlaki and several other options. The boat lands on the North beach but the famous golden beach is on the opposite side of the island, therefore a very hot walk across the island is necessary. Although not a great distance, it is not ideal for anyone with mobility issues and there is no shade en route. There are numerous sunbeds and parasols whic can be rented as a pair plus parasol, not singly. The cost this June was 10 euros.
