Traveler Reviews

The tour it’s self good people at the distillery were great and friendly. The problem was “caytours” who was suppose to pick us never showed.. a guy at the dispatch hut finally called them and they were going to pick us up at 10 minutes to 1:00 our tour was 10:30 and we had been there since 10 am they finally agreed to have a taxi take us there at 11: o’clock and told him to tell the distillery they would cover all charges. We were supposed to go to the rum cake factory after but was out of time.. For me just leaving us hanging at the dispatch hut then trying to put us on a later tour is unacceptable to me since they knew when we had to be back on the boat. Find someone else to take you we didn’t even get a penny back for our troubles

The rum tasting is more than a taste! We sampled more than 7 different flavors. After the round of tasting, we were able to 'pour ' a flavor or 2 or 3..of choice. The behind the scenes information in the distillery was pretty cool also. Great information!

I toured the distillery while on a cruise as an excursion choice. The facility is beautiful, the people are friendly, and the rum is great! However, their store is quite small and their were at least three buses there making it impossible to get near the bar for the free sampling. The group that made their way, was staying put! The distillery tour seemed good but without a microphone it was impossible to hear what the tour guide was saying. I bought a couple of bottles of their Seven Fathoms Rum and would have bought much more if I could have moved around the room! Looked like they have lots of products including barbecue sauce, etc. I would strongly encourage you to visit! Just make sure to find out how many people are expected the time of your tour. (wish I would have purchased a bottle of vodka as it isn't available in the US and people who tried it said it was amazing!
