Awesome and amazing experience. The chopper ride is somewhat quick, but scenic the whole way. A great way to get to see Alaska from high. You have plenty of time to meet and pet the dogs before and after going on the sled ride. The staff is friendly and understanding you’re there for the experience and to take photos and videos. You have an abundance of time to do that. Playing with the dogs is great! The actual dog sled ride is prob 20..25 minutes or so with some breaks in between for the dogs and for your party to switch spots in the sled from standing to sitting. They have boots, pants and coats there too to be warmer if you need it. Our day was sunny and 60 and perfect. Normal winter gear was fine but some days I’m sure are much colder. Great times and great memories!

The alpine air team was amazing! Very professional and friendly. The reason for 4/5 stars is the mushing team (dogsled team) on the glacier was not great. It was clear they were over the tours as they were direct and a bit uninterested in our time there. They went through the motions to check the box rather than going to extra mile for the tour. The dogsledding was quicker than expected, we spent a lot of time hanging out on the glacier and seeing where they lived. That was cool but definitely not what we expected. All other groups were able to dogsled together, however my fiancé and I were told to split up so we can each drive a sled for a family. Meaning we couldn’t do this together and also drove individuals we did not know. This was a bit concerning should something have happened. They also shared with us how poor their relationship was with the alpine air team on the ground which we thought was weird. We would book with alpine air again, but strictly a tour with them rather than t

Wow. Alpine helicopter ride to punchbowl glacier for a dog sledding tour was phenomenal for the whole family! The weather was perfect late August, so the views were stunning. You fly over The Valley which is full of rivers and surrounded by snow capped mountains. Passing through the pass to the dog sledding glacier camp. The dog sled trainers were welcoming and wonderful :) so passionate and patient. They coached us through it all! We met the race dogs, learned about the sleds, dog sled on top of a glacier at 3,000’ through the Chugach National Forest, played with 3 puppies, and toured the trainers camp. Would absolutely recommend doing if you find yourself near Girdwood, Alaska. An unforgettable experience 10/10

Awesome ?? helicopter flight, glacier, dogs, puppies, ig sledding, staff Highly recommend it! Weather caused 2 cancellations but it was definitely worth the wait!

It was a great experience. The weather was nice, the flight was very quick and smooth. It was lots of fun to play with dogs who live on the glacier year round and learn how to sled which was very easy :).
