Traveler Reviews

I highly recommend taking the time to book a helicopter tour with Paradise Helicopter and ask for Matt. We were able to see the waterfalls and even drive over the volcano! I usually get air sick but Matt is such an amazing pilot and it never bothered me.

Experience of a lifetime. Matt was superb. What a nice day. We were able to see erupting volcano & plane crash.

The helicopter tour is the best way to see the different climates and scenes of the big island. This is my first helicopter ride and I really enjoyed it. The ground staff explained everything in a clear and humorous fashion which eased some of my fears and made me really look forward to it. The helicopter we were on has HUGE windows even though I was in the middle seat (there is only one middle seat), I can enjoy it very very much on both sides. The pilot is very experienced and knowledgeable. Seeing the boiling lave from above is totally stunning. Looking at the craters made me feel like I was on another planet. The waterfall is amazing. The length of the flight is just about right, I enjoyed every second of it. I would highly recommend it!

Third time is the charm. We’ve had two previous scheduled but no go flights before. And this time we got an exceptional day with an exceptional pilot. Checkin was friendly and private. Weight is important for balancing the craft but does it need to be public? Here you submit ahead of time and you need to be honest. There is only a platform to step upon. The outcome is obscured. No worries here to stop anyone from getting in the air. And when you do, it’s entirely worthwhile. I had never been in a helicopter; my husband had the experience while in the military. Ever been a bird? This experience was so augmented by Matthew’s, our pilot, expertise. He lifted off and then paused in the air to make sure all of us were comfortable for first time flight. Then we toured over the volcanoes both live and dormant and tremendously long waterfalls. He provided continuous and relevant explanations of what we were seeing. He would pass one side and the other to make sure we all ha

Great trip. Wonderful sites. Great ride. Knowledgeable pilot. We had a excellent experience. ??????????
