Traveler Reviews

My sister-in-law and I took this tour. It was absolutely fantastic. We loved every stop. The food was unique and absolutely delicious. We had an amazing time. This should be definitely be a tour to do while in Charleston. It won't disappoint.

Satisfying amount of food. Great discussions. Learned a lot about history of the South. Charleston in recovery.

We had a great time with Mimi learning about the Charleston culinary scene. She was lively, fun and the food was fantastic!

Tour was disappointing, but gave us something to do. The restaurant choices could be improved - like the other reviewers wrote… we were hoping for foods unique to the area. Instead, we were served wilted French fries, undercooked Brussel sprouts at one stop, Swedish meatballs (southern?), shrimp po boy (teensie w a baby shrimp), chicken and waffle, (pretty good!) and a mushy Belgian waffle. There seemed to be no reason that any of these items were selected, our guide (“Mimi”) told us no stories behind the choice - just random places close by each other. Mimi was very knowledgeable and our group was very fun, but overall, it didn’t compare to other food tours. Save your $ and do it yourself.

Our guide Summer was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Charleston, and the restaurants on the tour were all unique and tasty!
