The chocolate gushes out of the fountain head, cascades down the kettles, then settles in the swirling chocolate pool. And by the way, if you're tempted by the luscious smell to sample some of the flowing melted candy, please don't. The chocolate waterfall is for your visual enjoyment only. And you can sample before you buy.Duration: 20 minutesStop At: Alaska Native Medical Center Craft Shop, 4315 Diplomacy Dr, Anchorage, AK 99508-5926Visit the Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC) – Ok, so if you're not native, you might think you would have no reason to visit ANMC, but you'd be wrong. At this hospital you will see one of the largest collection of Native Art from all around Alaska that represents over 227 federally recognized tribes in Alaska and rivals anything you will see in a museum. In fact, the collection is probably better. Here you will get a true flavor of Alaska’s rich Native history and learn about ANCSA. There's also a Native craft gift shop that will make you drool... They only mark up the art by 20 percent unlike the 150 percent markup you find downtown. And if you choose to purchase, wouldn't you feel good knowing that the proceeds from your purchase go to improve healthcare? Yeah, we thought so. Often there are Native Artisans on-sight selling their wares and even Native foods.Craft shop is closed on Saturday and Sunday and is only open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.Duration: 20 minutes

Traveler Reviews

This was a good tour. We were taken to many of the tourist attractions around Anchorage. The tour guide gave us a lot of history and information about the places we visited. The tour guide also suggestions on other places to visit during our time in Anchorage.

Activities were too much concentrated on tourist shopping, I was looking more for sightseeing. Mathew was wonderful and pleasant and helpful but it was not the experience I was expecting

Excellent tour director . Very knowledge and complete information on the city. Definitely would go numerous times.

Pickup on time by Chris, in front of the Log Cabin Visitor center. Very safe driver, with plenty of shopping and photo stops offered. We hit all the high points around the city, plus a short drive out of the city to Turnagain and Beluga Points. We also stopped at a waterfall, city park, and was lucky enough to see some wildlife. Again, appreciated all the brief photo stops offered by Chris. This tour is a great value for the price. Highly recommend.

We had a great experience with a guide who is native Alaskan, Ben. It is a nice short tour covering prime spots of the city for someone staying for short period in the city.
