Overview
Sweeting's Cay is about 4 miles off the east side of Grand Bahama Island and the perfect spot to spend the day off the cruise ship. At the port, guests will be transported to Sweeting’s Cay by ferry boat, where they will be able to see the unspoiled beauty of the surrounding cays. Upon arriving to the cay, you will see starfish all around you laying in shallow waters, where you can jump out of the boat and pick them up where the water is shallow. You will be given a briefing on the do's and don’ts of the area. During the 90 minutes of kayaking at Turtle Park, you will be able to see the turtles in their natural environment, darting their heads up and down to see who is visiting them. Some will come close enough for you to take pictures right next to your kayak while you feed them in a lake surrounded by mangroves.

Brice was a great guide! It’s a little bit of a drive from the Freeport area (about an hour), but worth it. The kayaking was great and we were able to see some sea turtles at the sanctuary in their own habitat. Lunch was good and I enjoyed it for me, but I would suggest providing options/choices for meat/condiments on the sandwich.

Started the excursion with visiting a sea turtle park where the guide fed the sea turtles and over 20 came out to see us! They looked like a painting they were so beautiful in the clear tropical water. Next we kayaked in the clear water spotting rays, star fish, and many other beautiful wildlife. Worth every penny. Hands down best excursion in Freeport. No one else we talked to enjoyed what they did on the island. High recommend this. We were only in port 5 hours, but they made every minute count while getting up back with plenty of time to shop!

So worth the money!! We ported in Freeport through carnival cruise line. Bryce picked us up and dropped us off right on time. It’s about a 45min drive to location, then maybe 10-15min boat ride to turtles. The area is just beautiful and Bryce is very friendly and helpful. This was the peak of our whole cruise and I would recommend this adventure to anyone visiting the area!

Words can't describe how amazing this experience was. We were on the Carnival Pride and were only to be in port in Freeport from 7am to 1:30pm. Brice emailed ahead of time and told us where to meet once the ship was cleared. Once Brice arrived to pick us up, we drove about an hour from the port then got on a boat and drove another 20 minutes or so to the kayaks, and our group of 12 then separated and half did the kayaks while the other half went to see the turtles then we switched. We had lunch at a local restaurant. We saw some beautiful sights and it was an amazing experience I don't think any of us will soon forget. The only criticism is that we got picked up late at the port which seemed to put us behind schedule the whole trip and caused us to get back late. It was a white knuckle ride back to Freeport and we were very concerned that the ship would leave without us since we didn't book the excursion through Carnival. But, Brice did a great job getting us back safely and phoned th
