Traveler Reviews

Hang gliding was awesome, so glad I did the instructional which meant I got to fly the hang glider when safe. It's definitely worth the few extra dollars. The instructor Anders was very competent and safe. We waited for about 20 minutes for the winds to be right. Winds are typically better in the morning, you want wind since it makes it easier to take off. In other words, probably better to book for a morning flight.

I've been skydiving, and Bungy jumping but hang gliding takes the cake! It was the most incredible feeling being able to soar through the air the closest we can get to truly flying. Our instructors Ted and Joe were awesome and helped to make it one of my best memories.

I did Hang Gliding, my pilot was Joe…super fun, professional guy. I had a great time in the air & the music was bonus. Joe was very funny, he did some dancing in air. Pictures and the video were fantastic! I loved every second of this and would do it again in a heartbeat.

Danny took me up to Coronet peak for the instructional hang gliding and I was overwhelmed by the experience. It was my first time ever up in the air and I felt really well looked after. Choosing coronet peak to do this was the best choice around Queenstown, as the views from here are just spectacular. I recommend doing this anytime.

I did the tandem hang gliding with Andy, and it was amazing! The views were incredible, and Andy’s expert commentary and instructions made it that much more fun. We did several maneuvers through the air and caught a few updrafts which really increased our fly time. We flew near cliffs, followed a flying bird, and he even let me practice a few maneuvers myself. I’m so glad I did this. I would do it again in a heart beat. Andy also flies in the US during the Northern summer months.
