Traveler Reviews

What a wonderful experience, from seeing the last bit of Funchal City Wall (just up from the shopping centre), to the views across the city with the history of who lived where, then the stone window frame from the floods of the 1800's... Should also mention the lovely end to the walk at the college and the very helpful and friendly staff at the booking desk at the shopping centre.

Thoroughly enjoyed the old mysteries of Funchal with Wendell, a great guide with loads of knowledge, highly recommended

We always try to fit in a walking tour at a new destination, & when this was recommended by our hotel, we quickly made our booking & were so pleased that we did. Our guide was Vincent (from Lichtenstein) who impressed us with his knowledge of Funchal & the places we visited, which included the Santa Clara Convent & the English Church. As a result of the latter, we found out that there was a classical concert taking place the following morning in the garden, & attending it was one of the high points of our visit. The tour ends at the Jesuit College, & afterwards do make sure to visit the Jesuit Church which has the most incredible interior.
