The ground inside the tunnel can be slippery and there can be some water falling from the rocks. Also be careful with your head. We recommend taking a flashlight and a waterproof jacket.Enjoy the fantastic scenery that arises, with its unique flora and fauna of Madeira Island. At the end you reach Ribeira da Janela. The fantastic view is dominated by large rocks that paint the landscape with a soft and pleasant shade of gray. Among the rocks flows the pure and crystal water, forming several ponds here and there.Stop At: Lagoa do Vento, Rabacal, Calheta, Madeira PortugalThe Rabaçal viewpoint, located in Pico da Urze, on the upland of Paul da Serra, offers memorable landscapes with a vast area of trees. The starkness of the view is breathtaking and the fact that there will most likely be no other people in sight will add to the atmosphere of beautiful isolation. The walk to the headland is short in itself, but you can incorporate it into various options of the nearby levada walk. Or, maybe, you just want to stop off at the point on your journey to Port Moniz?
