Traveler Reviews

The highlight of our trip. Danielle is so knowledgeable and nice! We were so stuffed by the end of the tour. So worth the money and you won't leave hungry. By the end, you will have extensive knowledge of the city, history, and food culture.

Daniella is incredible, with her passion, knowledge, and personality. I got a bit lucky due to a last minute change that I was her only customer — that definitely biases my experience a bit as we had no rush, and we could spontaneously change course (for example, when I saw a michelada available, we sat down again and spent some time chatting while I tackled the monster drink). She takes you to food joints that others would (as you can see by the crowd of food tours you run into the same locations or cross paths with), but there are small detours and hidden spots for pictures where we didn’t see a crowd. Meanwhile, it’s a free flowing discussion of the location, Mexico, cultures, and life, without it feeling like a guided tour. And definitely bring an appetite.

Daniella was wonderful. The first half we explored some cultural sights along the central city and the second half was eating some amazing street food. Daniella was informative and so nice and took great care of us. I enjoyed seeing the city at night when it was cooler. It’s a great way to orient us to things to see and eat in PV.

I have been lucky enough to take several different food and city tours with Daniella and was so excited to see she has branched out on her own. She is by far one of the best guides I have ever had. She is passionate, knowledgable, and is truly focused on making sure you enjoy the food and ambiance of Puerto Vallarta. It was just my husband and myself and our tour was very customized. Daniella remembered where we had been previously and as we were talking at our first stop about some of our favorite PV foods, she started personalizing our tour. We had three sit down stops: mesquite grilled fish with tortillas and sides, the BEST al pastor in PV, and a seafood tostada. Drinks included beers, Coke, Aqua Fresca, and bottled water. Next we had churros, sampled candied nuts, and finished with esquites, all while we wandered the city. Daniella had other places for us to stop and eat but we were full and passed. (We may have enjoyed a few extra tacos at the al pastor stand.) This was my 8

Daniella was amazing! It was such a great way to see a side of the city that you will not see as a tourist. Amazing food (so much food!) and wonderful history of the town. Highly recommend as a great night out instead of your hotel food or a tourist restaurant.
