To be honest, my husband and I agree that we did not really know what to expect. While we expected a jeep tour and some hiking, we were treated to an Indiana Jones trek picking our way through the Kauai jungle. But Hawaiian Dundee Charlie did everything to make the day fun, doable and interesting I would encourage anyone to give it a try. Charlie is well versed in the history flora and fauna in the area. It was a real Kauai experience. We did see another tourist all day.

We spent the day with Charlie and pushed ourselves to do things we never imagined we could do-from crossing a waterfall to trekking through the jungle. Charlie is extremely knowledgeable about Hawaiian culture, history, plants…there wasn’t a question he couldn’t answer. We had complete trust and confidence in Charlie right from the beginning. Highly recommend this adventure for a truly memorable and unique way to experience beautiful Kauai. Mosquitoes…ask Charlie ??

What an amazing adventure! We took our family (two adults, two kids/teens) on this hike to really get an authentic Kauai experience. Hawaii Dundee did not disappoint! We got an opportunity to explore amazing terrain. The highlight for all of us was swimming by a waterfall. We could not have asked for a better day, or a better person to lead us through it. Wear comfy shoes with some traction! My husband wore water shoes that had a good amount of traction that worked great for him. Our youngest wore crocs (which we all thought was a bad idea), but worked great for her. The other two of us were flipping between running shoes and water shoes with no traction. That was our bad! We made it work and Hawaii Dundee was of course incredibly patient as we changed, but just a pro tip from us. Don’t hesitate to book this day if you are looking for some adventure and fun!!!

This is NOT your typical touristy "hike to the waterfalls" tour, this is the BEST PRIVATE tour we have done on any of the islands! Our Guide, Charlie, was awesome and kept the tour very interesting and tailored it to our ability level which was perfect since we love to do real hiking versus your typical paved trail hiking lol! We loved it and will book all our future tours with Charlie! Best $ we've spent this whole time and on any of the island tours we've done throughout the years!
