Fantastic. We are Kiwis and found this was excellent in updating our knowledge, explaining from both sides just how bringing two races together bought pressure on both. We spent a day and a half here, walking the grounds, going through the musuem, the Maori Battalion musuem, the cultural performance and found the guide very knowledgeable. The cafe has very good coffee and the shop has some good items to buy. I'd definitely rate this as the best experience we have had in BOI Don't miss it, such a good opportunity to update history narratives and remember the beginnings of our nation.

Fantastic place for every New Zealander to see. I have been there many times. When I was 11 I saw the place and now I am 57! There are new museums there along with the waka canoe, the meeting house, and the house that I remember when I was so young. But now they have modern museums and wonderful not to be missed live entertainment at their meeting house. Young vibrant people entertaining and educating us. So I understand why is not free as it was and it is worth the entry fee.

We visited Monday June 14, what an informative and fascinating place to be. Thank you to our guide, he was fun but also very knowledgeable and an interesting commentator. Thank you, I’m sorry I don’t know how to spell your name!

Loved this tour. The guide was informative and humerous. I learnt a lot about my own Maori heritage. The cultural performance was excellent, the singing was just beautiful and they involved everyone in the show. The Waitangi grounds are well cared for and the New Museum was emotional to visit.
