This city tour could include a visit to ‘The Sign of the Kiwi’, the most panoramic of Christchurch’s viewpoints, a stroll in the botanic gardens and drive around the bays of Christchurch taking in Lyttelton which was the gateway for many of Christchurch and the Canterbury region’s first settlers. You could also enjoy a wander around the newly opened Riverside Market and Christchurch's new retail precinct. This will also include a Punt on the Avon River and a trip to the top of Christchurch Gondola to discover the city and surrounds from a majestic view point. Tonight you will enjoy dinner in Christchurch's inconic Monday room. This was originally colonised by the French in the 1800’s and now remains the only village in New Zealand to retain its French charm with traditional villas, boutique shops and cafes lining the charming Akaroa Harbour. This afternoon you will take a cruise on Akaroa Harbour to see dolphins in their natural habitat (or we can upgrade to a 'swimming with dolphins' tour). Tonight overnight in the charming village of Akaroa.
