Have had this on my bucket list and it was even more than I could possibly imagine! The experience was something else and highly recommend it to anyone thinking of doing this. Thanks to Jonno, awesome instructor, look forward to do this again.

my father was visting and in a previous life he had been a British helicopter pilot. At 84 it had been many years ago but he still talked about it with a passion. As a surprise i rang the team (4-5 times) to say i want it to be the ultimate experience. Although older he still knew what it was about and I didnt want it to be spent all about showing him what he already knew but just outdated. The team were UNBELIEVABLE ! The office to the pilot Jono continued to assure me it would be the ultimate experience for him and then some. I cried when I saw him take off and then hovering above me, flying himself. They took off to the hills where he did multi landings and re-experienced his past. Thank you ALL so much. you made one family very very happy. Pre Covid so didnt need all the sanitizing that is now required.

The lesson starts with a quick overview of the principles of flying the machine plus the major controls. Then it's straight into the air and the instructor hands control over to you in stages until you are flying it! As it has dual controls it's totally safe. My instructor was brilliant, really good at communicating what was happening so if you're considering booking this experience, go for it. You won't regret it!

Right from the start, our welcoming from the staff were friendly, obliging and all smiles. Jono (my pilot) was so amazing! Funny, to say the least; had me laughing the whole time. My half hour with him up in the air was exciting, thrilling and, most importantly, I felt very safe. Flew along following the Waimakariri River and did some hovering over fields. Jono certainly knows his job and I thoroughly recommend this trip. He took photos for us and introduced us to pleasant reception ladies, engineers, trainee staff and management. All involved took the time to chat and were very welcoming.
