The actual Blue Lagoon. Felt like something out of a movie. Transfer was really simple. You get picked up from a variety of Bus Stops based in the city. Once there, you have 3 hours until you must go back but it is ample time to enjoy everything there is to offer.

We arrived at 3:00. Enjoyed the lagoon with our masks and drinks until 4:30. At 4:30 we had a reservation for a hour massage which was wonderful. After our massage we spent another 20-30 min in lagoon. Dinner reservations were at 7:00. We were finished with dinner in time to catch the 8;00 bus transfer. Our experience at the Blue Lagoon was perfect. No problems, plenty of room in the lagoon, and the food at the restaurant was delicious. We had the fish of the day, dessert and one drink each. There were two of us. The bill was $173.00. Couldn’t have plan it better. Thank you Marine Travel for setting up everything for us.

The blue lagoon is a must during a trip to Iceland. It is basically a warm blue water space in moon-like atmosphere. It is a sample of icelandinc approach to nature: to coexist without harming, creating a magic spot from their challenging lanscape. The good news: it is big enough not to be crowded, despite the queues in the showers. You can enjoy drinks like in a resort pool. It is not far from Keflavik (international airport) therefore it is a good option to start or end your visit to Iceland. You can also visit the spa or a good restaurant (Lava, it needs reservation). Warning: The bus will leave you 100m away from the entrance and it might be raining heavily.

The Blue Lagoon was a hoot. Lovely warm water, silica mask, and a free drink! How could you go wrong?
