This curated walking experience follows an alternative route through 3,000 years of Athenian history, offering a deeper perspective on the city’s enduring legacy.
Guests are collected from a central location by a licensed professional guide, traveling by luxury vehicle or luxury minivan depending on party size. Beginning in Plaka, the route continues along the pedestrian way to the Hill of the Muses and the Acropolis Rock, including a walk along the Dimitrios Pikionis paths, a stop at Socrates’ Prison, and panoramic Parthenon views from beneath the pine trees.
Skip-the-ticket-line access is included with pre-purchased entrance tickets for all sites. Security waits may occur, during which guides provide historical context to ensure a seamless experience.
The tour continues to Pnyx, the birthplace of democracy, past the National Observatory, and down to Thissio, with time for a traditional Greek ice cream before exploring Monastiraki Square and the antique filled Avyssinias flea market. Your driver will collect you from your hotel and take you to the vehicle drop off point at the entrance of Mykonos Town. You will receive your ferry and tour tickets and be directed to the clearly visible boat departure point, where you will meet your guide and board the ferry to Delos. The crossing takes approximately 30 minutes each way.
Delos, the sacred island of Apollo and Artemis, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most significant archaeological treasures in the eastern Mediterranean.
