From the crystal-clear waters of Bora Bora to the lush landscapes of Moorea and Fiji, Oceania offers unforgettable ways to explore the South Pacific. These hand-selected tours showcase the region’s natural beauty through lagoon adventures, marine encounters, island discoveries shaped by culture, scenery, and serenity.
Surrounded by the turquoise pristine water of Bora Bora’s lagoon, you will go for a full island tour punctuated by several snorkeling stops. We offer a unique customization of your tour as you will be able to discuss with your personal guide your own “”must-see”” species, consequently, adapting the trip to your liking. As for our own recommendations, we would suggest the very popular swim with the sharks in crystal clear water near the reef barrier – unless you prefer to remain comfortably seated onboard to witness their energetic dance, then the stingrays gracious ballet in shallow water, and surely the natural “”aquarium”” to discover the prosperous life of one of the most beautiful coral gardens of the island. Even non-swimmers can do it by wearing a life jacket. Just simply float and watch the fishes and corals. You will be guided on the lagoon by a very experienced and certified team who will know how to offer personal, relevant and efficient services. True experts of Bora Bora’s fauna and flora, they will share with you their knowledge of all the different species and the island’s history. Your excursion will be lulled by the rhythm of a local instrument, from the traditional ukulele to the drum, accompanied by singing, as our guides are all great musicians at heart.

Observe Humpback Whales on a Bora Bora Whale Watching Cruise! Each year around June, humpback whales start their migration from Antarctica towards French Polynesia in search of waters rich in plankton and safe haven to give birth. During this time of the year, Reef Discovery ventures out of the lagoon to look for these beautiful giants. Join one of our observatory excursions for a unique experience! We conduct our tours with the utmost respect for the wellbeing of these wild animals. Given the popularity of this tour, we recommend that you book in advance in order to guarantee your chosen date. Dates for the 2024 season are now available to book for the months of August to October. You may have the opportunity to get in the water if weather conditions and animal behavior allow it to listen to the whale song (supervised by our guide). Given that the high seas require good swimming skills, we recommend a private tour for all people requiring special assistance in the water (beginner swimmers included).
Seasonality: August to October
Inclusions: Pick-up and drop-off from given spots in Bora Bora, Naturalist guide, Refreshments on board (mineral water, juice, soda), Safety life jackets (which you can use to float better), Goggles and snorkel provided, Beach towels.
Dates Can Change: Whale migration dates are known to change from one year to another, and they have done so more dramatically these past few years due to climate change. The Reef Discovery team may contact you in the week leading up to your tour to discuss available options if the tour cannot proceed (transfer to another tour, date change, or refund).
What if I don’t see whales? During the whale migration, it is highly likely you’ll encounter one specimen during your tour. As we travel in their natural habitat, we cannot, however, guarantee it. If no whale is seen in the first two hours of the tour, the captain can adapt the itinerary so that you can enjoy the other aspects of Bora Bora and its lagoon.

In the remote highlands of Viti Levu lies one of the most unique river trips on Earth. Slicing a deep chasm through the island’s tropical interior, the Upper Navua River is our hidden pathway to a pristine tropical wilderness. Shrouded in lush rain forest, fed by countless waterfalls and protected by challenging rapids, the Upper Navua River is Fiji rafting at its best. Your exploration of this amazing river is perhaps one of the most unique journeys in all of Fiji. This excursion will take you through some of the country’s most phenomenally beautiful terrain in the comfort of inflatable rafts. There is not one waterfall but many (some say at least seventy); not one short stretch of deep, narrow canyon, but kilometers. This is a place where black volcanic walls are at points barely five meters apart and over forty meters high and fringed by emerald rainforest. This is a place where man has been merely an intermittent visitor at best, where some of the wildest and most beautiful Fiji can still be found.
