Upon arrival at either Haneda or Narita International Airports, you’ll be greeted by a personal assistant who will escort you via private transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure.

Scenic Hakone

Takayama | Into the Japanese Alps

Borad the bullet train to Nagoya, where you’ll connect to the Limited Express Hida Wide View for one of the most scenic trains in Japan. On arrival at Takayama Station, a short taxi ride (not included) will take you to your accommodation. The remainder of the day is yours to unwind or begin exploring at your leisure.

Day 6

Takayama | Tradition at Your Own Pace

Spend the day at leisure in Takayama, a beautifully preserved town rich in history and artisanal heritage. Begin your morning with a stroll through the local morning markets, where stalls overflow with fresh produce, handmade crafts, and regional delights — a beloved daily ritual. If time permits, we recommend visiting the Hida no Sato Folk Village, an open-air museum showcasing traditional thatched-roof homes evocative of nearby Shirakawa-go.

For those seeking a deeper cultural connection, an optional artisan experience offers rare access to Takayama’s master craftspeople. Kanazawa via Shirakawa-go
