Later, head to the medieval village of Perouges through the La Dombes region, a magical place where water, earth and wild life join together to create a marvelous landscape. Discovering Perouges will make you feel like traveling back to the middle ages. Visit the fortress church, walk along cobblestone streets and marvel at the architecture of ancient houses from the 13th to 16th centuries.
