Founded by Jason Momoa, Mananalu is on a mission to “unplastic” the planet, and we want to to do what we can to help. For every bottle of Mananalu you drink, they remove a plastic bottle from the ocean. It’s our “reusable” water program in-house, we partner with Mananalu’s plastic removal program rePurpose Global to elevate the wrap on our FlowWater stations, and we host volunteer programs such as beach clean-ups, native tree planting, and more, so we can all give back, together.
The Royal Lahaina takes pride in their efforts in keeping Maui beautiful. On-site, Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows’ solar PV project was built in two phases, completed in 2020 and 2022, respectively. hen converted to a carbon offset via the U.S EPA greenhouse gas equivalencies calculator, the property is saving an estimated 977,058,251 kg of C02 emissions from the environment. This is the equivalent of planting 16,578 trees. This energy management system uses an occupancy sensor to detect when a hotel room is occupied or unoccupied adjusts the temperature to a higher HVAC setpoint during periods of no occupancy. Royal Lahaina has also received a Green Key Eco-Rating through national industry leadership and commitment to protecting the environment through wide-ranging policies and practices.
