Recreation
  • Snorkel sets, boogie boards, aqua eyes (boogie boards with an inset face mask), scuba gear, kayaks, and inflated rafts can be rented on Kaanapali Beach.

    From the beach, catamarans offer whale-watching trips during the winter and snorkeling and scuba excursions as well as dinner cruises year-round. Two public, tournament-grade golf courses lie across the street from the resort, and there are three other courses at Kapalua 7 miles north. The resort contains a large Tennis Ranch, including a stadium court for tournaments. West Maui, either at the Royal Lahaina Resort or within the Kaanapali community, features skydiving, parasailing, helicopter/airplane sightseeing, nature/wildlife tours, and submarine excursions.
